Skip & Play
Four keys that control the video you are already watching in Safari. No menus, no setup per site, nothing collected.
What it does
- SSends the current video to its exact end
- PPicture in Picture, on and off
- DSlower, in steps of 0.25×, down to 0.25×
- FFaster, in steps of 0.25×, up to 3×
All four can be reassigned. Shortcuts stay quiet while you are typing in a text field, and the speed you choose is remembered.
How it behaves
Changing speed does not pause the picture — no black frame, no jump back to the start. On a live stream, skip refuses the action rather than guessing at a position, because a live stream has no end to jump to.
What it does not do
It collects nothing. There is no account, no server of ours and no analytics, so there is nowhere for your data to go — the details are in the privacy policy. Safari warns you that an extension of this kind can read the pages you visit; what this one does with that access is find the video on the page you opened and run the command you pressed.
Requirements
macOS 13 or later, and Safari. One purchase, no subscription.
